1) Who was your favorite character (s) from the film? Why? The prize of being my favorite character is going to the killer of the Don that was terrorizing our heroes from the very start. It's Gully Rat. In my opinion, it's the character that developes his personality the most, he goes from being another villain to the hero of the movie, even sacrificing his own life at the end. Also, Gully Rat represents the idea of the movie itself. That the people with different political ideas and colors are not the enemy, even when it may look like at first glance. The real enemy has no specific color, the real antagonist is the one that induces violence. Gully Rat is just another victim of the actual danger agent, being the brother of a Don himself, nevertheless he grows to become conscious of that and end up as one of the strongest allies for Derrick and the dream of putting an end to political violence forever. 2) How do we see the political conflict portrayed in the film? 1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film? I personally always enjoy me a protagonist that goes away from the stereotype of a classic hero, one characteristic that Ivanhoe has that really is stuck in my mind is his selfishness, which doesn't always has to be a bad thing, the ability of putting yourself and your own good in front of everything and everyone is a hard thing to do. At least I struggle to be selfish a lot of times, even when in some situations is the correct thing to do, so I find some admiration in someone that is capable looking for themselves and their own goals. Is easy to say that the way Ivan threated his wife is a dislikeable thing from the film, but nevertheless, that only makes him more human, we as humans aren't perfect, most of us don't even come close to being perfect, and also does Ivanhoe. A diversity of traits that are conflicting with each other, some denominated positives and others negatives, make a character feel more r...
